Privacy & Cookies Policy

The short version

This is a brochure website. It runs no advertising or tracking scripts and sets no cookies unless you agree to them. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages visitors find useful, but it loads only if you click "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner — if you decline, or simply ignore the banner, no analytics cookies are ever set. Apart from that, we process personal data only when you choose to contact us.

Data we process

When you contact us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it solely to respond to your enquiry and handle any resulting project, and we do not share it with third parties for marketing.

Hosting logs. Like virtually every website, our hosting provider records standard technical logs (IP address, requested page, browser type, timestamp) for security and reliability. These are kept by the host for a limited period and are not used to identify visitors.

Cookies and local storage

Until you make a choice in the cookie banner, this site sets no cookies at all. Two things may then be stored in your browser:

• Consent choice (localStorage). When you make a choice in the banner, we store it in your browser's local storage under the key iwe-consent, together with the date, so we don't ask again. This contains no personal data and never leaves your device. We ask again after 12 months.
• Analytics cookies (only with your consent). If you click "Accept analytics", Google Analytics 4 is loaded and sets cookies named _ga and _ga_G-30CXTG547Y. These hold a randomly generated identifier used to recognise a returning browser and count visits; they expire after two years. We run Analytics with IP anonymisation on and all Google advertising features (ad storage, ad personalisation, ad user data) permanently switched off, so your data is not used for advertising or shared with advertising products.

Changing your mind. Click "Cookie settings" in the footer of any page to reopen the banner. Choosing "Essential only" stops Analytics immediately and deletes the _ga cookies from your browser. Withdrawing consent is as easy as giving it.

Third-party services

Fonts. The site's typeface is hosted on our own server. No request is made to Google Fonts, so your IP address is not transmitted to Google in order to display this page.

Google Analytics. Only if you consent, as described above. Google acts as our data processor and may transfer data to servers outside your country, including the United States, under its standard contractual clauses. You can also opt out of Google Analytics on every website using Google's browser opt-out add-on.

YouTube videos. Some pages contain YouTube videos using a click-to-play design and YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). The preview image you see before pressing play is our own photograph, served from our server — so simply viewing the page sends nothing to YouTube. The player loads, and any YouTube data processing begins, only if you click play.

Self-hosted media. Project videos on our case study pages are hosted on our own server and involve no third party.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including under the GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or object to the processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email info@sertek.com.tr. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We will update this page if the site's data practices change, and revise the date at the top.
